Discussion items:
1. Branding- 6 new banners are coming sponsored by the Chamber. Waiting
for Tim Allen to install. Josh is waiting on Tim. Celtic Banners are up.
discussed incentives for branding for new businesses. Elephant Walk will brand,
Dr. Tribble was planning on branding.
2. Brochures-J. Schleuter and Courtney Abrahamson of AI Creative
will be asked about the proof for brochures
3.. City Urban Development Fund report- The $400k was approved for the Elephant Walk funding. Banner Bank is being asked for $500k line of credit. There will be 4.4% interest charged to the project. All due 5 years. They expect to close next week on remaining buildings. Getting plans for the Old Library Building to become the new police station. there is a need for securing the location. This will be funded with development funds. We are getting a grant for the bathroom renovation at Riverbend. It was suggested to contact RomTech to get a bid. They want to do safari theme on bathroom. The Elephant Walk will also have a public bathroom. City will be doing sewer comprehensive plan with system improvements. The Snow St. facility will be a priority.

4. New Business We greeted 4 Play lounge, Lookingglass
Brewery, Donut shop, A&M second hand, this month. O'Reilly auto parts are
coming next to Dollar General. They will break ground the end of August. Discussed
the vineyards coming in west of town.
5. .Mike Winters is working on Khyam. Mike is talking with Knife
River. the water line blew out and discussed capping it.
6. RDI is doing the assessment, the
surveys have been sent out, they are working behind the scenes. August 22nd
will be an assessment team meeting at 3 pm at the Community Center. A Community
meeting is scheduled for September 15th at 6 pm in the Community Center.
Suggested laminate cards to be given to Gas station attendants and restaurant
workers with the top 10 questions and answers for them.
7.Safari is planning for October 14th and 15th a "Wild Land
of the Umpqua" which will bring in Arts, Vintners, and anything to do with
the Umpqua.
8. Discussed the River rescue Stations and suggested one be put in
at the Nichols Park and Riverbend Park. Concern for vandalism which is on the
rise.
9. Blue Jean Ball will be August 27th. You can get tickets at Event Brite and Valley Drugs. There will be NASCAR races sponsored by NAPA on the 27th also.
10. Derelict buildings were discussed with a home on Main ST and Carries Diner. Contacts will be made.
11. A Haunted House was suggested in the center of town, possibly the Lauren Young lot or Civic Park. A Skate park Tournament was suggested.
