Discussion items:
1. Branding-Valynn contacted Jake Cole at Charter and they will
take down old banners and put up new October 27th. Dick Hayes will find person
to help them. The Holiday banners are at the VIC.
2. Brochures-Shaun Ryan of Inerseshen will be asked to submit for
brochures. We would like them for fall and winter.
3.. City Urban Development Fund report- Working with ODOT
and county for flashing lights at crosswalks. This will take 100k of Urban
development monies. Police Station is going to move to old Library on Rose St.
They are getting bids for the remodel. Scheduled completion the spring of 2017.
Bathroom remodel is scheduled to be completed early spring.
4. New Business O'Reilly auto parts are coming next to
Dollar General. They have broken ground. 12 New homes are being built in the
city this year. HV Cellars and Umpqua Video need to be Greeted. Shandra Thorn
agreed to be on Greeters. A Mary Kay Distributor has gone in at Cheetah
Junction.
5. .Mike Winters and Mandy Johnson are working on Khyam. Mike is talking
with Knife River.
6. RDI Had their October 12 meeting with approximately 30 people
in attendance. They discussed the First Impressions aspect and set goals to be
worked on. Full report to follow.
7. Market data was discussed for home sales in Winston. Prices are
up as are sales. Inventory is very low, creating a sellers market. Concern
about vacant foreclosed homes becoming magnet for homeless and drug activity.
8.Carries Diner was contacted about
condition. The RV was removed.
9.Corp Project for Elephant Walk is
reorganizing with Articles of Incorporation being completed.
10.145 unit RV Park is proposed for the corner of Abraham
and 42. It will be resort style with 30 day maximum stays, with possibly a %
for longer term stays. feasibility studies are being done.

9,2016.
