Discussion items:
1. Branding- 6 new banners are coming sponsored by the Chamber.
2. Brochures-AI Creative will be submitting a bid for brochures.
3. City Urban Development Fund report- Terry Luce of HV
Cellars is opening a brew pub/winery/BBQ when licensing completed . 4
Play is set to open end of June. Urban renewal was explained by Dick Hayes and
the projects completed so far. The current project they are doing due diligence
on purchase of Core Project properties. The plan is to convert downtown to
boutique type properties and close the Junction MH park. Core project name was
changed to Elephant Walk.
4. New Business Lookingglass Brewery tasting room open Wednesday
through Sunday beside the donut shop.
Umpqua Video will open next to the DC Co op.
5. .Mike Winters and Mandy Johnson are working on Khyam. They will
work on tennis court finish with new lights..
6. Maia Hardy spoke on Community lending Works which supplies
loans for start up businesses. They loan to investors, cities, counties,
tribes, individuals, and foundations. USDA gave $500,000 to lend out for these
small businesses.
NEDCO is Neighborhood Economic Development Corp. The loans also include technical assistance. The timeline is from 2 days to 1 week. Call Maia at 541-345-7106 x 222.

7. World changers are coming June 27th to July 1st. They have
projects in line.
8.Ann Mitchell spoke on RDI(Rural Development Initiatives) They
give Technical assistance grants. For a fee of $375 for Level 2 help they will
pair community assessments, pre assessments, customize tools, facilitate
They have additional help for Level 3 assistance for $1215 which
will bring a team in and do all logistics. They will prioritize projects, look
at strengths and weaknesses, do action planning, implementation, cleanup and
signage. They bring groups together to coordinate and consolidate projects.
They suggested we partner with Myrtle Point.
9.Safari is planning for October 14th and 15th a "Wild Land
of the Umpqua" which will bring in Arts, Vintners, and anything to do with
the Umpqua.
10. Riverbend Live starts July 5th and will be every Friday in
July. The Youth will be doing "Beauty and the Beast"
11. Next meeting will be July 13,2016.

Winston's potential is great and businesses can and do
